This is the ALLDAO blog, Buildspace series. Iâm writing these articles to help everyone reading better understand ALLDAO; a web3 community-type startup building a fintech solution for communities.
Whew! That was a mouthful.
This is the second article in the series. You can read the first article here. First Article.
In this article, Iâll be telling you about the evolution of the idea that is ALLDAO. At the end of this article, youâll be able to decide for yourself how you can contribute to creating and capturing value using ALLDAO.
Ready? Set? LFG!
When the universe gives you a sign, you should listen. Within the space of two days, I heard the same message twice, from two different people, in different contexts. Coincidence? Synchronicity? Singularity?
The first was Mark Zuckerberg, founder of Facebook. I found a recording of one of his speeches on a podcast on Spotify. He said some things that resonated with me, being a founder of ALLDAO. Here are some of the things he said:
The challenge for our generation is to create a world where everyone has a sense of purpose.
Purpose is that feeling that youâre a part of something bigger than yourself, that youâre needed and that you have something better ahead to work for. Purpose is what creates true happiness.
3 ways we can create a world where everyone has a sense of purpose:
By taking on big meaningful projects together.
By redefining equality so everyone has the freedom to pursue their purpose.
By building communities all across the world.
All of these align with the values at ALLDAO. We started off trying to build a project for a hackathon but ALLDAO is so much more than that. With ALLDAO we can make an impact in the world!
With ALLDAO we can do more than just connect the world, we can empower communities (connected individuals) like never before. With ALLDAO we can own, decide, and control the future together.
These got me thinking, but thereâs more, in the same speech Mark Zuckerberg also said the following:
No one knows everything when they begin, ideas donât come out fully formed, they only become clear as you work on them, you just have to get started.
The idea of a single eureka moment is a dangerous lie. It prevents people with seeds of a good idea from ever getting started in the first place.
Letâs do big things not just to create progress but to create purpose.
The greatest success comes from having the freedom to fail.
A day later, I was at Buildspace, receiving a lecture from Farza, and the central theme was this; Ideas are forged, not found.
Farza, founder of Buildspace told his own story, about the evolution of Buildspace. Some of the key points are:
Ideas are just starting points.
He spent 3 months unsuccessfully trying to find a great idea.
Eventually, he did the thing he was most excited about, he opened a school teaching kids to code at his mumâs house.
Have fun with it.
Great ideas are forged not found, he forged his idea zipschool to buildspace.
Pick one idea and iterate.
Get good at the process of figuring it out.
The universe was screaming at me to pursue this dream, to work on this idea, to keep going and I wasnât going to say no for any reason!

Alright, where was IâŚ
I was speaking with Fon, CTO, Co-founder of ALLDAO and I asked him what the idea was before it became ALLDAO and he acknowledged that he also couldnât remember. Safe to say, weâre on the right path.
If web1 was the creation of the internet and web2 is Facebook then web3 is ALLDAO.
Ladies and Gentlemen, humans of every nature, if youâre reading this, I congratulate you because we are at the precipice of the future.
I believe in ALLDAO. I believe ALLDAO is the future of communities. I believe that because of ALLDAO humans are going to be able to achieve more. I believe that because of ALLDAO more people are going to be able to find their purpose.
